COVID-19 Experience
Ever since Covid-19 started affecting us last March, things have gotten shifted around like a bumpy ride for me. At first, I felt frustrated because I didn’t know what to do during this pandemic. I haven’t been able to stay on campus, go to the Hussman Center, visit my grandfather on a regular basis, or other things I would normally do without Covid-19. However, I’m as glad as ever to be reunited by way of Zoom so that I can stay on topic in each of my classes (including with you guys).
Another thing I’m very glad about was enjoying my trip in the deep, blue ocean in Ocean City with my loving family. It’s been hard for me to remember, but I’ve done a great job with wearing a mask over my nose and mouth in public. This way I can stay as healthy as the doctor says I should.
Also during Covid-19, my mom and dad have been working from home, which makes me as happy as I can be to enjoy their company. Once a week, we all order lunch from Bob Evans to make up for not eating at Denny’s with my mom’s father this time of the year. One thing I order from Bob Evans is scrumptious French toast with tasty sausage links. Other things I’ve been able to do on Zoom are my Hussman Center activities, Scouts meetings, and Best Buddies activities. However, for my recent Scouts meetings, we’ve all been able to meet in person again (wearing our masks and social-distancing, of course). Along with all these high-tech Zoom videos, I could watch a divine Mass online every Sunday with my dad and sometimes my mom. During the beginning of Covid-19, we would even collaborate with my dad’s relatives on Zoom, which brightens my heart. However, ever since June, we’ve been able to visit my dad’s parents in person in Bowie, which also brightens my heart. The same thing applies to visiting my mom’s dad and uncle on occasion. It’s very loving to see my relatives in person again even though it’s not as often as it was before the virus.
I can hardly wait for this Covid-19 virus to be over finally. Then I can do all that I was able to do before this widespread virus. I’ll even look forward to seeing all of you at CCBC again because I miss being together in person.
